MIPIM AWARD 2017 TIL GAPS

I går aftes blev 'ejendomsbranchens oscar' MIPIM Award 2017 uddelt i Cannes, og det blev med dansk vinder! I kategorien 'Best Healthcare Development' vandt GAPS - Psykiatrisygehus i Slagelse.

Det nye psykiatrisygehus i Slagelse er med 44.000 m2 og en investering på ca. 1,2 mia. det største og mest ambitiøse psykiatribyggeri i mange år. Byggeriet er tegnet af Karlsson arkitekter i samarbejde med VLA med bl.a. Schønherr, Moe og Novo Nordisk Pharmaplan, Bartenbach og Arup som underrådgivere. Billedkunstner Malene Landgreen og digter Ursula Andkjær Olsen har udsmykket og farvesat bygningens mange overflader.

Psykiatrisygehuset blev i 2016 tildelt hele tre priser. Så sent som i oktober vandt GAPS den internationale arkitekturpris ’The Architectural Review Award 2016’ som en anerkendelse af projektets ambitiøse tilgang til at skabe et helende og stimulerende miljø for patienterne.

Tidligere på året løb Region Sjælland af med Bygherreprisen 2016, der understregede både den uventede merværdi og det samfundsansvar, som GAPS har bidraget med. Og også Farveprisen 2016 gik til GAPS for det gennemtænkte og storslåede arbejde med at integrere kunsten og farverne i Psykiatrien Slagelse.

I december 2016 blev sygehusets videnscenter desuden DGNB Guld-certificeret.

KARLSSON ARCHITECTS WINS ’THE OSCAR OF REAL ESTATE’ - MIPIM AWARD 2017 GOES TO GAPS

Last night ’the Oscar of real estate’ MIPIM 2017, was awarded in Cannes, France and even with a Danish winner !!

The Psychiatric hospital, GAPS, won the category ’Best Healthcare Development’.

‘It has been a great challenge to work with architecture and design for those who need it the most. And it is at pleasure to receive international appreciation for this work’, says Christian Karlsson.

The new psychiatric hospital in Denmark is 44.000 m2, and a DKK 1.2 bil. investment. It is the largest and most ambitious psychiatric project in many years.

The project is designed by Karlsson architects in cooperation with VLA. Subcontractors are Schønherr, Moe engineering, NNE Pharmaplan, Bartenbach and Arup. The artist Malene Landgreen and poet Ursula Andkjær Olsen has decorated and colored a large amount of the surfaces.

The hospital was awarded three times in 2016.

Just in October GAPS won the international architecture award, ‘The Architectural Review award 2016’ in appreciation of the ambitious approach to the healing and stimulating environment for the patients.

Previously the project was awarded ‘The Client Award 2016’ emphasizing the added value as well as the social responsibility GAPS has provided.

GAPS was also awarded ‘The Danish Colour Award 2016’ for integrating art and colours in the building.

The hospital was provided gold in the environmental certification, DGNB.
